Summer skin(ny) shock. I have to get in a bathing suit and look decent enough that I’m not sinking into the baby pool to hide come next month. NEXT MONTH. Wait a minute summer is only a month away + I have to loose some junk in the trunk? Well juggle me to the gym why don’t ya. Ok I have a treadmill and I’ve been ‘working’ it for an entire week. Yes 7 days and 40 mins. But no ones counting, right! I thought after a week I would look fabulous. Thinner and ready to take on the pool after 1 week of speed walking and light jogging. Yes I am that naive. So what? I’ve said it. I’m not ready for beach blanket bingo pillow talk Gidget summer time surfs up cowabunga dude. But there is a light at the end of the sometimes bleak long and narrow tunnel. No my glass is not half full people. There are solutions to help you look summer time pool ready without the headache of running a 5K for 2 months. Just writing that hurts! Find yourself a swimsuit that looks nice, flattering, and modest. You don’t have to wear a string bikini to the beach. In fact I would pay you to not! (seriously)

Ok I’m going to open my mouth again. I have to tell you a secret. I mentioned Gidget up there and you may have wondered what I was talking about. I grew up watching Gidget movies. If you’ve never seen your missing out! Sorry. Go on ebay and buy them I’m sure there is someone selling it. Anyhow classic’s. Here is a photo..and I have a point to this, I promise.
That’s Moondoggy on the left. If you think I’m talking dirty..I’m not. That’s just what Gidget called him. Her Moondoggy. Moondoggy thought of Gidget as a girl until the dude on the right started noticing her and Moondoggy got jealous. I forget the other guys name. It obviously wasn’t as cool or memorable as “Moondoggy”.
POINT: Her bathing suits. I LOVED THEM growing up and I still do. For some reason when I was on Lime Ricki’s Swimwear website I thought back to Gidget bathing suits. This might be my chance to have a fabulous modest and fashionable swimsuit.
& I was right. After receiving the Coco Tankini top I started having visions of beaches and surf boards. I will never take up surfing. That is just a statement fact if you will. But a beach is never out of the question.
First off note this is not me. Or I would not be complaining about exercising for smaller hips. The Coco Tankini I received looks fabulous yes and modest yes. I also received the Cover Up Skirt in REd that looks perfect. You have to buy bottoms separate this is a skirt only and tankini only. I had red bikini bottoms already so I opted for the awesomess skirt.
I kinda struggled to pick out my fav. I loved them all and yes I’m one of those shoppers you see standing and starring endlessly at clothes before I buy. Jake doesn’t shop well with me. Come to think of it no one shops well with me. Well except my ma who’s the same as me, but that is a different post. On to the other top fav’s you might like.
