Cats & Dogs on DVD BluRay today 7/20 + review

I’m not going to pretend my kids didn’t jump on furniture when Cats & Dogs Things Are Going To Get Hairy, new BluRay DVD,  came in the mail..any more than I’ll admit I jumped with them.  I had never seen this movie before.  My kids said they saw bits and pieces and here is a convo I had with Belle, my 6 year old about it.

Me: What’s the movie about?

Belle: Cats & Dogs

Me: What else can you tell me?

Belle:’s about Cats & Dogs against each other

Me: Anything else

Belle: No

And that ladies and gents is what I deal with on a daily basis when chatting it up with the kids.  Rest assure she will tell me the whole movie in full detail when I’m on the phone with someone.

Here is a small blurb about the case Belle’s translations was a little to vague.

They’re cunning. They’re stealthy. They’re waging a top-secret, ultra-high-tech struggle for global domination right under our noses. They’re…Cats & Dogs! Witness this epic “tail” of what happens when an eccentric professor (Jeff Goldblum) makes a discovery that could tip the age-old balance of pet power. Now an inexperienced young beagle pup (voiced by Tobey Maguire) will undertake the ultimate mission impawsible: saving humankind from total catastrophe! Voices of Alec Baldwin, Susan Sarandon, Jon Lovitz, Charlton Heston and Sean Hayes are also featured.

Really who doesn’t love a good cat and dog case?  How about using live animals with digital wizardry?  Yes, this classic tale (no pun intended) is ment for belly rolling laughs as mice are sprayed with chemicals to make humans allergic to dogs.  Classic cat smarts :)  Both teams have headquarters with gadgets and technology to drive the opponents to fury.
