Protect-A-Bed Mattress Protector Giveaway

Kristin August 15, 2010 239

I have to be honest. I didn’t really think that the Protect-A-Bed Premium Mattress Protector would make a difference on our bed. I mean, it’s a mattress protector. So, going into it, I figured, well, maybe if someone pees the bed, then I’ll get to witness the benefits of a mattress protector.
Wrong!
For starters, the Protect-A-Bed Mattress Protector is high quality. It’s extremely well-made and looks wonderful. And, most important, it fits perfectly on my mattress, which is thicker than the average mattress and sports a feather bed on top. Yes, you heard right. It fits over all of that and still is not a snug fit…and is not loose nor does it gap anywhere. OK, so let’s move on to how it feels.
How does heaven sound? Yes, you heard right. Heaven.
Let me explain. Our bedroom is quite chilly at night, so, believe it or not, we use a sheet, a thin blanket, and a woven blanket. Yes, in August. Now, before this mattress protector entered our lives, we would get overheated within a few hours and have to rearrange the blankets because we were warm and, on occasion, sweaty. Ew.
Not now, sister!
With this mattress protector, we get through the entire night with our covers and at a comfortable temperature. We’re not chilly but we also do not get overheated one bit. Finally! And, to top it off, I did not feel one single feather poking me.

Now, before I put on the Protect-A-Bed Mattress Protector, I had a padded mattress protector on my bed. But, it doesn’t wash up well (the bottom is all weird and “stringy”) and I wake up several times through the night because I’m crampy and uncomfortable (I have significant back problems)…and I can feel a feather poking me here and there. But with our new and improved mattress protector?
None of those problems! I’m sold!
I should mention that about 10 days ago, I was coughing and hacking my brains out and I had a pounding headache that I just couldn’t shake. I went to the doctor and he couldn’t find anything wrong with me, and chalked it up to the weather, allergens and all that. After all, it’s been incredibly hot and humid here in the Philly area over the past month, and between the outdoors and the air conditioning indoors, it’s been ugly. Now, it might be a coincidence, but…since using this mattress protector, I haven’t had one coughing fit. Could it be? I’m not sure, but I can’t rule it out.
This is the best mattress protector I’ve ever used. It looks great, feels great, and keeps us cool and comfortable. Protect-A-Bed Mattress Protectors will be on all of our beds from here on out!

Protected mattresses last almost three times longer than an unprotected mattress (20 years vs. 7 years). Protect-A-Bed recognizes the importance of mattress and pillow protection and their brand has become synonymous with bedding protection and quality. I’d love to win because we just invested in a new mattress and we’ve been worried about its longevity – especially since we recently found out that our city is near the top of the list for bed bugs and allergens! It would be great to have that extra layer of protection. Thanks!
