Imagine my excitement at the prospect of reviewing the Miche Bag. I‘m something of a “bag glutton” (glutton = a person with a remarkably great desire or capacity for something) in these here parts. So, when Miche generously offered to send me one of their bags, it took me about 3.2 seconds to say, “Um, YES!” And, now that I’ve received it and tried it out, I can now say, “YES, YES, YES!”
What’s so cool about this bag? Um, everything!
I got the bigger version with the Allie and the Sophie shells. The Allie is a deep yellow patent with a stamped flower design. It’s very appealing, and great for summer/fall. The Sophie, though…woo hoo, ladies!! Sexy mama! It’s a wine color (also patent), with two strips with a black and white pattern. As you can see in the picture, it’s really sharp.
Let’s move on to the bag. It’s big, but not outrageous big, if you know what I mean. Inside, there is a large zippered pocket. On the opposite side, there is a cell phone pocket that is b-i-g. As in, big enough to hold a Blackberry or an iPhone. There is another big pocket right next to it, with two elastic loops on the outside to hold pens (hello! Who doesn’t need THAT?). There are also four credit card pockets staggered down the outside of that pocket as well. Oh, and, in case you need it…there’s yet another cell phone pocket on the inside, on the side of the bag. The inside of the bag itself is ample. I would be surprised if this wasn’t big enough for anyone. It sure is for me.
The outside of the bag has even more to rave about, if that’s possible. For one thing, the straps are a good length. You can carry it on your shoulder and the bag hangs appropriately. It’s not right under your shoulder, but it’s not swinging around your waist and hips, either. That’s always a treat. It’s got nice metal grommets that add a little oomph to the bag. It has a good-sized front pocket and two side pockets that allow for easy access. This bag is something else, let me tell you.

Here’s what I envision myself doing: every time someone comments on my bag, I’ll say, “Wait til you see this!” And then, voila, in a matter of about 3.2 seconds, I’ll flip up the magnetic flaps at the top of the bag and whip the shell off, and slide the bag inside the other shell. Then, maybe I’ll show off and change it back. There is nothing like a “cool” bag, for the bag glutton who has just about everything. I have to say, this bag gives me something of an adrenaline rush.
The Miche Bag looks good, it allows you to be well-organized, and it’s, simply put, a fantastic bag to add to your collection. And, it barely ’adds” to the size of your collection, if you get my meaning. Seriously. Between the bag and the shells, you’re talking about a stack that’s only a few inches thick.
I might even be paying Miche another visit, because their original bag is simply too chic to ignore. It’s a smaller bag, but simply charming. And, those shells will knock your socks off. Isn’t this pink one too cute?
Long story short, the Miche is a winner. Once you get one for yourself, you’ll want to get one for every special woman in your life.
