Remember last year when there was  a Pillow Pet frenzy?  If you don’t let me remind you or just fill you in if you got lost in the shuffle.  I was asked around Nov last year to do a Pillow Pet review and I had never heard of this company before.  But alas when my postal delivery man dropped the package off, I opened it, and kids were watching I heard “PILLOW PET”.  I was shocked that they knew this toy more than I did.  They even broke down in song (which was a little sweet) It’s a Pillow, It’s a Pet, It’s a Pillow Pet.

So, your kids know what Pillow Pets are but do you?  When I visited my blog friend Natalie, from Mommy on Fire, for the TV interview in July her kids went wild when I brought our Pillow Pet inside.  It was really a prop for the show but her darling daughter fell victim to it’s soft and cuddly touch.  A Pillow Pet is simple: use as a pillow for a comfortable head rest, and #2 play!  It folds up to resemble the animal and with the easy velcro snap little hands can do it themselves.  It fold out to a pillow for your child to sleep with at night or nap.  Let’s get serious here!  They play pretend sleep and have fun snapping it up and out.  What I never thought of before though until Natalie mentioned it was this is a great toy for traveling.  She was going to buy all 3 of her kids one for their vacation trip.  What a great way to start an adventure with your kids, with their favorite cuddly friends.  Perfect for swapping out hotel pillows and a great head rest in the car.  This Pillow Pet gets 2 thumbs up on family friendly travel!

So if you already took your family vacay without a Pillow Pet, shame on you, and go now to order one for Christmas.  Let’s not get caught empty Pillow Pet for the holidays again this year!  The company last Christmas season had to go into backorder mode and mothers all over were scrambling to get one of the most frequent items on every kids Christmas List last year.  Even paying well over the listed price.

I opted for the Lady Bug for my Little Lady Livi.  She is about the only one in the house to not have a Pillow Pet.  I got it out of the box, examined it, and yes same great quality.  I have put it back for her for Christmas though so I don’t have any great photo’s with her to share yet.
