Like you, I have tons to do and keep track of, and I tend to rely on my over-taxed brain. Unfortunately, that doesn’t always work. I recognized the problem (the first step, right?) and realized that I was in desperate need of a planner.
That’s when the folks at Orange Circle Studio stepped in and said, “We can help you. Sit tight. The Do It All Mom Planner is on its way.” Or something to that effect.
Let me tell you about the Do It All Mom Planner. It is cute. It’s the perfect size — not too big to carry around or use regularly and not too small to actually be worthwhile and effective in organizing your fast-paced life.
This planner spans 17 months (August 2010 – December 2011), so you’re good to go til 2012. The front cover has a little pouch for, say, coupons or business cards or whatever you need to grab quickly (or stash quickly). There are two pages of little stickers (288 sounds like enough, right?) to spruce up your planner as well; “volunteer,” “birthday party,” “coffee time,” and so on.
Now, on to more awesomeness. When you open your calendar to say, next week, down the left page there is a column for each family member. “Mom” gets the top block (the huge one!) with five smaller blocks below it, to enter in all the “to-do” stuff for your husband, your kids, the dog, whatever. Awesome!
Following the calendar are a few pages for contact numbers. This is super cool. There’s “Mom’s Contacts,” which gives you spots for neighbors, a hair salon, and a nail salon. Turn the page, you’ll find “Kid’s Contacts.” Spots for telephone numbers of schools, teachers, coaches, lessons, friends, etc. Fabulous! Then, we’re on to “Services,” like restaurants and theaters, babysitters, and so on. Finally, there’s a page for “Medical Contacts.” What a time saver!
Following a few pages for random notes, there are sheets for grocery lists. Each sheet is perforated to make three tear-off lists. Are ya kidding? How convenient is that? I can’t tell you how many times I’ve used a receipt or a torn envelope for a quick grocery list.
I love love love this planner. Trust me…you will too! So would anyone lucky enough to get this as a gift.
I am definitely a fan of Orange Circle Studio. This is their first year of business (wow!) and their adorable Bold Blossoms planner is the best-selling planner at Barnes & Noble! Holy moly! They have the coolest products and they’re environmentally responsible. Yay for that!
If the Do It All Mom Planner isn’t for you, you will have no problem finding something that is. In fact, you might have a problem trying to decide what you do want! They have calendars, planners, journals, you name it. Check them out…you will not be disappointed.
