ABBA You Can Dance Wii Game Party Review

born in the 80s and not recognizing ABBA as performing artist includes humiliation.  I was only 1 year off from being a 70s baby so there is really no excuse.  I can’t help it my dance routines involved: Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer, and Salt and Pepper.  There are more but that’s enough embarrassment for one day.   When we first got the ABBA Wii game I recognized the hit songs: MAMMA MIA and DANCING QUEEN.  I get points for that, right?  In my defense I’m awful with names.   If you were to tell me your name I would forget it after a second (unless you were wearing a name tag and I totally vote we all do that!).  I have a confession…I will youtube a song to find the name and artist.  Ugh.  If I remember a song in my head, or while sleeping (it happened once) I will write down the lyrics and look up later.  If I don’t loose the paper, or if in the case when I was sleeping I can read my writing when I get up, I can search online.  Technology is GREAT.

Back to ABBA.  My kids spell out the name as in : A B B A.  I was pronouncing as ABBA as in abracadabra.  But, thanks to my high vocalist friend she said it is pronounced A(ahhh)BBA.  As in, ahhh girl you never heard of them before?!  Embarassment case # 1349487893.  In my defense..cause they are always up…I have a memory bank defect.  It’s not fair I can only remember my name some days but it’s true.  Nothing aggravates my husband more than me not remembering things from the past.   Holy Cow..this is a ABBA review not poor me time.  Gesh, sorry ’bout that.

So the disco ball is out, ABBA shirt is on, Wii is finally working again!, and we are ready to dance our butts off..literally.  I am now doing the ABBA Wii game as a workout each evening and it’s one my kids enjoy with me.  So far I almost hit a 4 star but only received up to 3 stars.  This Wii game includes all of their songs and from the makers of Just Dance (also by Ubisoft) it offers great dance moves and guiding.  The diamond glove shows you which hand your Wii remote hand should be following.  And in this case I felt like Michael Jackson, which was an added bonus I didn’t expect.

I was asked to have my MomXperts group over for a party and that is STILL going to happen I have just been busy and the only info I can provide is my families experience.  I never knew the 2000′s babies could love 70s music but they do.  Not only is this great for working out, girlfriend parties, but you can enjoy with your kids as well.  I can’t take pic’s of myself dancing and my husband slept on the couch through this, I know!  You’ll have to trust me, I had a blast with this game.  I told the kids we are going to go get Just Dance 2 as well.  This makes for a GREAT family night.  And that’s kinda what I’m all about.

Set The MOOD:

• Invite 5 of your closest friends.  It’s key to invite people you know well as you are going to most def embarrass yourself dancing.
• Make some popcorn, serve cocktail weenies, + fondue
• Bell bottoms and curl that HAIR!
