There are a few key food items that do NOT last long in our home. #1 being OJ (the juice), #2 PopTarts (I can’t explain, it’s just how it is..they are popular) #3 cookies #4 milk (<<those 2 go well together) and #5 fruit snacks. I can buy a box then all the sudden like magical beans they are gone. As if they were never purchased. I blame my husband for more than 1/2 of these food disappearing acts but sometimes..a small fraction it can be my fault, but usually just him and the kids.
When we received our Ocean Sprays fruit snacks I knew it would take longer than a few hours for these to be gone. They sent us 6 boxes to review and I must say FOOD is my families favorite product to test.
What I love about Ocean Spray’s Fruit Snacks:
- lunchboxes..they are easy to throw in and kids are usually bragging to their friends at lunch about how awesome of a mother they have (owww so that’s a stretch)
- made with REAL fruit juice (okedoke that should have been #1 reason but I’m firm on my lazy lunchbox routine)
- 100% Vitamin C
- 80 calories
- DOUBLE boxtops (well..mine came with double)
- they stick in your teeth a little..enough to give yourself a treat later
- I just dropped one on the ground-picked it up-ate it and it still tastes good!
- variety of fruit flavors
speaking of fruit flavors I’m going to stop mid-awesome-thought and tell you about the different choices available:
- Assorted Fruit
- Berries & Cherries
Luckily for me there are 2 boxes left and one of each flavor for me to test in this review. I just finished my little baggie of Assorted Fruit and I love the flavor, non-dried out texture, and fruit inspired shapes. Being the fruit flavored snackers that we are I know a thing or 2 about good fruit snack products. We have experienced with other brands (maybe generic) dry, hard to chew, never get to enjoy because the first bite is all stuck in one tooth (it happened before trust me). Ocean Spray’s Fruit Snacks are satisfying and fresh.
I think another great fruit snack flavor would be Tropical or just Pinnapple..because with snow and (-) temps I need a little reminder of the tropic’s right about now.
