A good friend of mine has been battling (and winning!) breast cancer and its really changed both of our lives. Her journey has made me stop to think about what’s important in my life. One of the areas that I’ve really tried to work on is how I take care of my body. I used to not care that much about the chemicals used in my beauty products. I assumed if they were dangerous that they wouldn’t be on the market. Well, that is not true. Many beauty products have chemicals and ingredients that are pretty harsh. Which really has me turning over labels of all of my products to see what I’m exposing myself to. During this process, I found Main + Goetzy Apothecary and Lab out of New York. This amazing company is a family run business that offers all natural products for your body, face, hair and even perfume.

Malin + Goetz strives to use naturally derived preservatives while offering products that don’t include parabens. One area Malin + Goetz specializes in is offering products for sensitive skin. They actually offer a section according to what your needs are including: eczema, rosacea, and seborrhea.

Take a look at some of their fabulous and fun products…

Mojito lip balm…yes, please!

Vitamin E Face Moisturizer

Look at these fun gift boxes of shampoo and conditioner, too…This one includes peppermint shampoo and cilantro conditioner.

They also offer some fun candles including this one in dark rum

I was sent a fun little package full of a bunch of Malin + Goetz samples. Since I struggle with eczema, I decided to try out a few of the products that they recommended for my sensitivity. I received the grapefruit face cleanser, vitamin E moisturizer, moisturizing shampoo (for all hair types, bonus!), and the detox face mask. I was impressed with the texture of each product– it wasn’t at all too thick or too thin. The moisturizer was my biggest concern, simply because I’ve been using the same moisturizer on my face for years. I was worried it wouldn’t meet my current expectations but I was pleasantly surprised. The face moisturizer went on smooth and felt great immediately after I applied it. I’ve had issues in the past with some that feel greasy or leave my face feeling dry. This was not the case at all. I love this stuff and plan to order myself a full size bottle as soon as I can! The grapefruit face cleanser was wonderful, too. It smells amazing and gives you that tingle that makes you feel like its really working to wash away the dirt and grime. The detox face mask is one that you put on in place of your cleanser one morning, so I used this only once so far. Its a good one to give your face that boost it needs once a week. Overall, I’m extremely impressed with Malin + Goetz and will definitely be using them for my beauty needs.

To Buy: Malin + Goetz

Cost: $12 + (depending on the product)

I was not paid to write this post, these are my honest opinions and may vary from your own. I did however, receive the samples mentioned above at no cost to me.
